1981 TV Shows
Perhaps because I was a full-time student at the time, I didn’t spend a lot of time watching TV in 1981. Probative evidence of this fact is that I didn’t watch a single episode of the top 5 shows for the 1981-82 season. What were they? Take a gander:
1. Dallas
2. 60 Minutes (Sunday nights were bad for me)
3. The Jeffersons
4. Three’s Company
5. Alice
What was I watching in 1981 (when I did watch TV)? Here you go:
1. Hill Street Blues (never missed a show for years)
2. Monday Night Football (Howard, Frank, and Dandy Don)
3. Lou Grant (with Ed Asner's recent passing, I gotta go back and rewatch some episodes)
4. Magnum, P.I. (Hawaii, fast cars, Higgins, and lots of action – what more do you want?)
5. Simon & Simon (very funny detective series, although somewhere around 1986 it got old and I stopped watching it . . . but I can still hum the theme song on a gazoo)
